The human heart was—and remains—a mystery to me. But I’m learning. I have to. —Anthony Bourdain

What I’m grateful for, week 30/52

1. Being able to hug a friend I haven’t seen in a year. It’s been too hecking long, and being silly and catching up over drinks and sushi was amazing. My favorite part was just sitting in the car not wanting to leave because we had so much to talk about.

2. Kind hearts. I am always astounded by how people can directly be cruel or fake, and it really throws me off sometimes. But this week, I got to witness so much kindness from friends, and it was a breath of fresh air in what seems like an overwhelming drowning.

3. New experiences. This weekend I did new things with people I love and adore. It was definitely outside my small, comfortable box, but it was incredibly heart full.
