The human heart was—and remains—a mystery to me. But I’m learning. I have to. —Anthony Bourdain

I love cherries. As luck would have it, when we went to the province they had really good really sweet cherries. (Which is so great coz I just can’t bring myself to buy them at P800/lb)
And this cherry was heart shaped so I just had to take a picture.
Good sign i think (hope too).

I have a new addiction.
We met at SM North Edsa at the new Annex.
Eric Chao introduced us.
I love it.
Love it love it.
Crave it everyday, and annoying everyone i know by telling them every spare moment to go there.
Coz it’s good.
And good for you.
White hat.
I’ve been there at least once a week for the past four weeks, and once, even twice in a day.
I figure, it’s frozen yogurt, and I get fruit as toppings, so it’s not such a sin.
Please build one near Shang so it’s a jeep ride away.
1. A moment not eating is a moment wasted.
2. It’s wonderful seeing younger cousins grow up into smart, good people.
3. Coke is great. Cherries wonderful. A cherry floating in coke is nothing amazing.
4. Cheez whiz + ground beef + onions + tomatoes + cream + chips= best.nachos.ever.
5. A three year old can stay up until 2 am (later than me, I am such a dork).
6. Asti martini=good Istanti martini=lethal.
7. Irish coffee, not as good as I remember.
8. Today’s 11-13 year olds don’t know Men in Black.
It was a strange fun scary weekend. I felt old. Happy. Scared. Annoyed. Loved.
Give people a chance. They might surprise you. 🙂
What did you love about 2008?
You think you’ll still love it in 2009?

Martimar’s old. He turned 23 yesterday. And to that effect i show you his feet. Happy 23rd Marts!
Call me sappy, call me childish, call me cliche, but i love the holidays. People smile more, are nicer, feel lighter. They get stressed trying to get everything done, trying to cross off all their gift lists, their to-do-lists. But after all’s said and done, they realize all of it’s worth it. That all the money they spent, the effort exerted to get all these things done are nothing compared to the look on your friend’s face when they open a gift you were so excited to give, the smiles you see when you lay the dish you slaved over all day on the table at Noche Buena.
I’m sorry I really like Christmas.
Like right now, I’m at the province just breathing in the happiness. Trying not to burst in the joy of the simplicity of being with your family just eating and laughing.
Sappy yes, but true.
Even though i can’t be with all the people I love (of course my friends all have families of their own) i know that they have their loved ones to spend the holiday with.
And if they don’t I’m a text and a bus ride away.
Have a Happy Holiday everyone!
And so this is Christmas, and what have you done? *borrowing from John Lennon today*.

It sucks that you’re far away and this is one of the last pictures we have (well since you left). (Belated) Happy birthday Mark!
